How Beautiful is that Smile of yours?

They say that we create our own circumstances and we alone can rise above them.

Dr. Babalola Jumoke is both a dentist and a makeup artist.She developed passion for makeup right since her childhood.

One reason for her passion for makeup was that, makeup was what she applied on her face (amongst other things), that made her less worried about her tribal marks on her face- hence, the likeness for it started


As a child, she felt confident and no pains at all about her tribal marks whenever she applied makeup on her face

I remember then as a child when we had to practice being a grown-up. Applying makeup on, u just admire yourself in the mirror. Until your elder ones see you and scream. Instructing you to go wash off; of-course, not forgetting to add that you look like a monster. And truly, you ddo looked like a monster. But as a child, you just don't see what they see. All you saw then was 'a perfect work' **laughing**

In the year 2013, during her Service to her mother- land (Nigeria), she took part in an Essay Competition organized by 'House of Tara' in Benin City. She won that essay competition and so, got into "House of Tara" to acquire the skill in makeup on 'schlarship'. She graduated as the best graduating student in "House of Tara"

Now, she has her own makeup home called "Beautiful Smiles" and her own clinic of course!

When I asked her what the inspiration for the name "Beautiful Smile" was, this is what she said:

"The idea behind the beautiful smiles was as a result of looking for a name that will reflect my dental practice and makeup artistry as one. Good makeup and a perfect dentition boost self esteem a lot. Some people will never smile even if they have the best makeup on because of bad dentition. So both go hand in hand to complement each other. That was the inspiration for the name Beautiful Smiles"
